After hiking 500 miles, carrying 55 lbs, loosing 3 toenails, meeting a lot of really amazing people, seeing the most beautiful views ever, swimming in COLD water, climbing through snow to 13,200 feet, being eaten by bugs, crossing hundreds of rivers and streams, I became part of the family of hikers that make the PCT experience.

On April 20, 2009, I took my place at the start line of the 2009 Boston Marathon as a member of the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge. Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is a National Cancer Center in Boston, MA that sponsors cutting edge research into the causes of cancer in the hopes to find cures.
